Spring Break

Who doesn't enjoy a little break during school? I sure do that's for sure! My spring break wasn't as exciting as I would want it, but I'm not complaining. Anyways, to start off I got to hang out with my little nephew, Mason Atticus Txim Lee. Just born on February 18th, he's still infant and still lovable as ever. Because he lives in Milwaukee with my brother and his family it's hard for me to find time to see him. Therefore, seeing him this week made my day and a happy aunt.
Besides, visting my brother's family I also went down to Chicago, Illinois. This one-day trip was very fun. I left early with my sister-in-law and we went shopping to start off. We went shopping around at Woodfield mall. Then after that we went to his large Asian store that's called H-mart. Then after this we were wondering where we should visite next. So, after comtemplating, we decided to go to Ikea. Out of all places, you guys might wonder why we choose Ikea. Well, first of all neither of us has been at this store. Also, I'm looking for a new vanity so this was a good place to start. Before getting to the store what I imagined the store to be like was something the size of Target. Not too big and not to small. However, was I wrong. This store was HUGE. It was three levels tall and was surpringly busy. What I found so fascinating about this store is that they had such cute rooms! It gave me inspirations for my future rooms and it was just fun to look at. Remember, how I said that this store was three levels tall? Well, after strolling around on the second floor my legs started to feel it. Boy, was I tired. Usually, I can walk for a while, but for some odd reason I was just exhausted.
Another event that I went to this weekend was a party for Jar Xiong. She won the Miss Wisconsin pageant and she threw a party for her friends and family. However, something that I want to clarify that this was a Hmong pageant and it is more like Miss Milwaukee rather than Miss Wisconsin. Anyways, she held her party at Emil Mazey Hall. It was fun, but there was a lot of drunk people. But that didn't stop me from enjoying myself. What I thought was the best part was seeing these older folks enjoying themselves. I saw some men around their mid-fortys and they were throwing their hands up in the air. That was so funny to watch. Also, there were ladies who were step-dancing to song which was pretty cool too. After this night, I hope that when I'm around the ages of late 30s-40s I can still party it up.

Restaurant Review

Today was my sister-in-law's birthday, and for dinner we went to go eat at this restaurant called Pho Hai Tuyet II. This will be my review of this resaurant and what my overall experience was. So, to start it off if you're curious what the address of this place is, it is 333 W. Brown Deer Rd. Bayside, WI 53217 and the phone number is (414) 446-8364.

This place is easy to access and has many other stores near by. However, I must say that parking could be better, however, if the parking space was angled there would be less parking spots. So, it’s a win-lose situation, but it doesn’t affect the business too much. Anyways, my family and I went here around six pm, and there was a decent crowd there.

When we entered the building we were greeted right away and seated immediately. Soon later, we were asked what we wanted to drink. So as of service, it’s actually pretty good at night. The menus were odd but easy to understand. However, because I have been to other restaurants like these it may be different to others. I ordered a noodle dish that came with meat and vegetables. In addition, I ordered a Vietnamese sandwich (which I LOVE).

As for the pricing of the food, I would say that it’s decently priced. Nothing was too expensive. My noodle bowl cost my $9.50, my sandwich was $8 and then I had hot green tea which was $2. So overall just for myself I paid $19.50. However, like my dad always said, “your eyes are bigger than your stomach.” This so happened to be true. I couldn’t even finish half of my noodle bowl. With little samples from other dishes that my family had I could have no more food. So I took home my noodles, and my untouched sandwich.

As for the interior, personally I thought that it was nice. I want to say that there was about four flat screen T.V. with different stations on them that you could enjoy. In addition, near the kitchen the painted wall looked beautiful. As I looked at the floor, they weren’t dirty. They kept this place pretty clean. Also, as I looked up at the ceiling they had curvy like planks that decorated it. Honestly, I’m not too sure if I’m describing it right however, it matched the theme. However, I did notice that there were some empty shelves as you walked out of the building that was odd.
Just because this is an Vietnamese restaurant doesn’t mean only Vietnamese people eat there. There were couple of Koreans enjoying themselves, and to the right of them there were two Chinese girls, there was also a Caucasian couple, and a family of Hmong people, and us. So, I’ve got to say that there are a variety of races here at this restaurant.

Finally, for my overall score of this place out of ten, I give it a seven. Yes, I would recommend this place to others if they’re feeling for some Asian food. Also, with reasonable prices and okay service what do you have to lose?

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream

This post will most likely intrest the girls rather than the guys. What I will be reviewing right now is my Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. To those who don't know "BB" stands for it is blemish balm.

Originally formulated in Germany by Dr. med. Christine Schrammek in 1967 it was initially used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes.

However, this product eventually became a hit all over Asia. Leading to many different brands such as this one. I bought this BB cream from this U.S website of Missha. To those who don't know, Missha is actually a Korean brand.

When Missha first came out with their Perfect Cover line it only came in two shades (#21 Light Beige and #23 Natural Beige). To those with darker skin it was hard for them to try this product. However, now Missha has more colors for people to try now. Those would be in shade #31 Golden Beige, #13 Milky Beige, and #27 Honey Beige.

What this product claimes to do is: "The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation." Also, if you're wondering what those words are on the tube it describes more in details why it's so great. It says, "MISSHA M Perfect Cover B.B. Cream offers a novel skincare concept with B.B cream, which lightens skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability, and prevents skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.

My personal thoughts about this product is that I love it. It's affordable and has many benefits. For example, like what i just stated before it helps with wrinkles, blemishes and etc. In addition, what's also nice about the product that is has SPF 42 in it, and for me I love this. This may be odd, but personally, I do not enjoy getting tanned. Also, by this product having SPF it prevents me from gettting sun spots.

However, there are some cons about this product. To those who don't like the dewy look this is not the product for you. Also, when you first use this product you might be scared at first because of the grey over-cast. Yes, it looks somewhat grey when it's first applied on. However, don't worry because it will eventually oxidize. Also, when you take pictures remember that because there's SPF in it, your face will look very light if not white in the pictures. So I do not reccomend this product to those who like to take pictures.

If you're intrested in learning more about this product then there's a website below for you to look at. Also, there are other products besides the BB Cream on this website. So, go check it out :)
